Program Manager for the City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs
Brittnee Buley currently serves as the Program Manager for the City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, overseeing the Municipal Support for the Arts and Contracts for Arts Services programs. In this role, she manages a portfolio of 120 grants annually totaling over $2 million, ensuring successful project implementation and compliance with beneficiary guidelines. Brittnee is responsible for planning and administering all activities related to these programs, cultivating strong relationships with grant recipients and community leaders to secure repeat beneficiaries and foster ongoing collaborations.
A highlight of her achievements includes planning and executing the first-ever art soirée for the 2023-2024 funding cycle, celebrating and connecting grant beneficiaries and fostering a vibrant community of artistic talent. Additionally, Brittnee presents the annual Emerging Artist Award Exhibition for rising artists in the Atlanta area, where the office awards selected artists and hosts the annual opening reception.
Brittnee’s passion for the arts began at a young age, initially through drawing and later through dance. Her creativity flourished as she participated in her church’s dance ministry and served as President and Choreographer of Tau Sigma Dance Fraternity at Brenau University. In 2009, she founded ATL Dance Source, an online platform that provided local dancers with information about auditions and classes.
Brittnee holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts Management with a concentration in Dance from Brenau University. Her mission is to help artists acquire the knowledge, resources, and funding necessary to execute their art projects and programs. She is dedicated to assisting as many arts organizations and artists as possible, helping them achieve their dreams and contributing to the growth of Atlanta’s vibrant art community through funding assistance.
Brittnee will be sharing her expertise and insights as a speaker and presenter at the 11th Annual Biz Savvy Artist Academy conference on August 17, 2024. Her extensive experience in grant management and unwavering dedication to the arts make her an invaluable resource for artists navigating the complexities of arts funding and project execution.
